Dr. Linda G. Castillo is a professor in the counseling psychology doctoral program and director of the online school counseling program. She received her B.A. in Psychology from Texas State University and her M.S. and Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Utah.

Her expertise and research focuses the influence of the acculturation process on Mexican American mental health and educational disparities; marianismo and Latina mental health; and scale development and validity of cultural constructs. She is the Associate Editor for the Journal of Clinical Psychology. She has successfully lead two multiyear, multimillion dollar grant projects, funded by the U.S. Department of Education, that focus on college and career readiness of low-income adolescents. She is an active member of the National Latina/o Psychological Association and American Psychological Association.
